as the saying goes, "like father, like daughter"

1954 Original Milky Way Magazine Ad
My dad collects old original ads as a hobby. He's been doing it since as long as I can remember. He keeps every ad that he likes in a very neat portfolio. Depending on the season, he frames the ads and switches them out. My mom loves it! I was thumbing through his files the other day and happened upon this ad. Of course, I snatched it up and framed it with a $3.00 frame. This ad is displayed in my kitchen. Look for these magazine ads at Flea Markets! If you see a man about 6'1", skinny wearing a striped polo shirt, a bright smile, thumbing through the mags. and talking to everyone in sight, chances are that's my dad!
Happy Heart Day! ;)

  1. Hi Alyssa dear,

Please send me your actual mailing address so that I can send you a small gift for being a charter member of the Grimy Hands Girls Club. My hope is that we will meet this summer perhaps.

Oh, those bedroom shots. That cottage room is divine. Simple and sweet.

love the idea of the church flowers in canning jars. I've kept my favorite jam jars for this very thing. If you saw the Country Gardens magazine article this month the clear "vase" is my favorite jam jar.

Sending love and best for the weekend,

    Love!
