Well, my blog needed some cleaning up as it was looking a bit "shabby" shall I say. I have been in the middle of a French Country Dining Room makeover this past week. Did I tell you that I do room designs and room makeovers? This part of my life is part of "The Flea Circus" You can click on the button over to the right and see what that is all about.
Anywhoooo, the project is complete! Which I will be sharing the before and after pics really, really soon!

But, I digress. I cleaned up, added some new fun buttons and re-wallpapered my blog. You can even follow me on twitter now by clicking on the "t" pennant in the left hand corner.

Easter decorating has begun here! Maple bucket with faux tulips and boxwood, rusty mattress springs hold flameless large white votive candles, my collection of rabbits, bunnies, etc. from every store around, Beatrix Potter books that were in my son's nursery.

And this was a good day at the Grocery Store

And this is my new hugo-mungo chalkboard wall that is not fully shown here, but trust me it's a big one!

We had such a fun vacation and I also did some redecorating of my own. I painted a HUGE chalkboard wall in my house. I bought fancy wedding cake molding (I don't know if it's called that, but I named it that. It looks just like fancy frosting) and added that around the edge. I purchased the molding at the Restore for Habitat for Humanity. I bought some vintage shutters too for my living room re-do. We donated our change to the project as well. I made my son pay and explained to him the donation he was making. So nice to donate to such a great cause! Ugly white tile is being replaced with white beadboard. That's another big project.
In a nutshell, I have had fun writing down quotes, menus and messages.

We had a FANTASTIC time on vacation this past week! I always love sharing time with Will as we cuddle and play and I make days just for him and we do whatever he'd like to do. What a blast we had! Now, it's back to school, but we are that much closer to summer vacation! (It is snowing right now as I type!)

I AM CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION TODAY!

REVAMPING THIS BLOG TODAY! STAY TUNED! ;)

we're excited around here and a paper flower tutorial

Why you ask? Because it's FEBRUARY VACATION---I can't wait, Will can't wait, Dave...well he'll be spending some of it with us, as he is working, so he can't wait either to goof off with us too! We'll be going to the mountain and we have some other special treats ahead. ;) Just being able to recharge the batteries is a treat too! Slow mornings waiting for the sunrise are theeee best!
Here are some Valentine Day pics. Dave had to work, so Will and I celebrated with a red, white and pink supper. Our favorite supper is having breakfast at night. So much fun and so easy!

                   PAPER FLOWER MAKING TUTORIAL

The Flea Circus-My small side business-taught an art class at Crompton Collective in Worcester, MA. Jenn and I taught a Paper Flower making class. It was a blast! So many talented ladies from all occupations came down and crafted away. I love meeting new crafters like myself. ;)

Paper Flower making is soooo easy and addictive. You can use vintage papers, those paper pads from Michael's, old books, maps, etc...

I am working on a garland for Spring. My friend Jenn and I made these for her wedding last summer. We popped them into milk glass. They turned out so pretty!

Here's a tutorial for ya! Click to my other blog to learn how.www.thecircusfleas.blogspot.com

isn't she lovely?

I've been working on a bench for a client.
It looked like this when I picked it up.
The Before I Began Pic.

It was a love-hate relationship between this bench and I.
I did some decoupage on her and was not too thrilled after the project.
I hemmed and hawed. I walked in circles around her. I decided to take it apart and start over.
It was then when reality hit me as to why I don't have any wallpaper in my home. Ugh, the scraping!
Here she is all new and simplistic.
I hand wrote the "No. 197" for my client's home address.
I made the pillow with a toile flower.
I love her now.
